"Welcome! I am Mr. Ricardo Gonzalez and I serve as the principal for the high school. I have been part of the Avance family for 13 years, serving as a tutor, teacher, coach, athletic director, instructional coach and now, my current position. As always, we are committed to teaching the whole child by narrowing the achievement, opportunity and technology gaps, and building character within a restorative justice paradigm. Culture and engagement are the key points for our current team as we work to build a school community that is inclusive and prioritizes student success and development above all else. Social, emotional and mental well-being is the top priority as we educate your child in an ever changing world.

As we return to school in the midst of a pandemic, our number one priority is the safety of all our stakeholders. We will work tirelessly to ensure all students, staff and Avance family have the resources, support and knowledge of how to protect themselves and their family. We will continue to collaborate to ensure we serve our students in an ever changing climate along with providing a college preparatory education. Vamos Guerreros!"
